Following our earlier feature, From Logistics to the Racetrack, which introduced Trans-Rak International’s partnership with 7 Racing, the 2026 UK Championship continued at Snetterton 300 for Round 2, delivering another strong weekend of competition and a standout result for the Trans-Rak team.

Building on a strong start to the season

Snetterton 300 provided a demanding test for teams and drivers, with its combination of high-speed sections and technical corners placing a premium on precision, consistency and control.

Across the weekend, the 7 Racing championship once again showcased close competition and high standards of performance, with fine margins separating success from the rest of the field.

A winning drive for Wes Payne

A major highlight of the weekend came in the 420R category, where Trans-Rak International’s very own Wes Payne, delivered a superb performance to secure a race victory.

Starting from fourth on the grid, Payne produced a composed and calculated drive, steadily working his way into contention at the front of the field. In the closing stages, he made his move to take the lead and held firm under pressure to secure victory by just 0.2 seconds.

The result marks a significant early-season success and a strong reflection of both racecraft and consistency under pressure.

Engineering performance on and off track

For Trans-Rak International, the result at Snetterton is a natural extension of the company’s core engineering values.

Snetterton is a circuit that demands precision and reliability, qualities that closely mirror the principles behind Trans-Rak’s vehicle racking systems for container transport. In both environments, success comes down to efficiency, execution, and attention to detail.

Leadership through engineering

As Director of Engineering, Wes Payne’s involvement in 7 Racing reflects more than participation in motorsport. It demonstrates a practical connection between engineering leadership and real-world performance under pressure.

His approach, focused on structured problem-solving, refinement and continuous improvement, is consistent with the engineering culture that underpins Trans-Rak International’s operations.

Looking ahead

With Round 2 complete, the 2026 7 Racing UK Championship continues to build momentum as the season progresses. Strong early results are beginning to shape the competitive landscape, with further close racing expected in the rounds ahead.

Trans-Rak International remains proud to support 7 Racing throughout the season, reinforcing the link between engineering excellence, logistics innovation and performance on the track.
